Just landed in LAX it took nearly 1 hr to clear customs, was finger printed both hands and thumbs and photo taken.. They got nothing on Melb Airport, we did get a few people working there to smile everyone is so serious or just not happy to be there, just moved onto the domestic transfer were we found the free wifi.. Nice and quick faster than oz..
